Description of Service
gdrive is an open source command-line interface (CLI) tool that allows you to:
- Upload files to Google Drive
- Export Google Workspace documents to various formats
- Sync files between your local machine and Google Drive
- Share files with other Google users
License
gdrive is provided under an open source license. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software in accordance with the license terms available in the GitHub repository.
Your Responsibilities
When using gdrive, you are responsible for:
- Your Google Account: Maintaining the security of your Google account and OAuth credentials
- Your Content: Ensuring you have the right to upload, share, or modify any files you interact with
- Compliance: Using the tool in compliance with Google's Terms of Service and all applicable laws
- Token Security: Keeping your
token.jsonfile secure and not sharing it with unauthorized parties

- Upload malicious software or harmful content
- Circumvent Google's terms of service or security measures
- Access accounts or data without authorization
Disclaimer of Warranties
gdrive is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
We do not warrant that:
- The software will be error-free or uninterrupted
- The software will meet your specific requirements
- Any errors will be corrected
- The software is compatible with all systems or configurations
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors of gdrive shall not be liable for any:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from the use or inability to use the software
You use gdrive at your own risk. Always maintain backups of important files.
Google's Terms
Your use of Google Drive through gdrive is also subject to Google's terms:
Token Server Operators
If you operate a token server for your organization:
- You are responsible for securing the server and OAuth credentials
- You should inform users about how the server operates
- You are responsible for compliance with your organization's policies
- The gdrive authors are not responsible for third-party token servers
Modifications to Service
As open source software, gdrive may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time. We are under no obligation to maintain, support, or update the software.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of gdrive after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Check this page periodically for updates.
